The Barium Oxide Bar Magnet is very powerful. It can be used to get metal objects, like a motor from the bottom of a lake. It can be used to grab scrap steel from the floor. I use it in magnetic experiments to test the theory of magnetism. For example, I test the HDR electromagnet with matches and see that the HDR affects the flame. Later, I test the barium oxide bar magnet as see if it too affects a flame and find out that it does not. |
It is advised that Barium Oxide Bar Magnet not be used near an old tube television set, not the new LCD TV or plasma TV, those are fine, because powerful magnetic fields will disrupt the delicate alignment of the electron beam. This will cause strange colors to appear on your set. Most small toy magnets are fine, but this big block can do damage to credit cards. Keep it away from magnetic media.
Steven Gibbs
sent me this Barium Oxide Bar Magnet that I use with the Hyper Dimensional
Resonator (HDR) in my experiments. I am trying to find out why the magnet
helps to boost the power of the HDR.
